Annual Micheaux Foundation Film Festival

The Micheaux Foundation will premiere the works of its sponsored filmmakers in an annual Washington D.C. festival before submitting these films to the established worldwide film festival circuit and for possible Academy Award consideration.  We will create alliances with cable and home video distribution entities, as well as with independent exhibitors to provide a choice of outlets for these films.  Our internet distribution website is CURRENTLY under construction.  Supporters of independent film will be able to view, download, or order VHS/DVD copies of our films.  As the Micheaux Foundation Film Festival becomes established within the worldwide film festival circuit, we will encourage the attendance and the participation of film industry distribution and development executives.  The growth of the Micheaux Foundation Film Festival and other similar festivals in the Washington D.C. area will help to establish Washington D.C. as one of the worldwide independent film centers.
